Color Psychology

As designers we are taught the importance of color choice, especially when it comes to marketing. But is there really a right answer to the color question?

Is it a true science or does it really all come down to the personal experience and preference of an individual? I suppose I feel more peaceful when I look at green as opposed to orange, but I do not necessarily feel empowered or excited by red.

When designing we should draw on our personal likes, but we always think about how others might perceive the idea. No matter what color choices we make the most important factor is that the message is clear!

How do you feel about colors and their influence in design? Do you use color with the intention of translating a certain meaning to the audience?

I would love to hear your feedback!

Thanks for visiting 🙂
